The Canossian Sons of Charity

The Canossian Sons of Charity are a religious congregation inspired by the charism of St. Magdalene of Canossa, whose vision was to reveal God's love through education, human promotion, and service to the poor and marginalized. The congregation is committed to fostering human dignity, integral development, and social transformation through educational, pastoral, healthcare, and community-based initiatives.

The Canossian Sons of Charity entered India in the year 1996 on December, 3, on the feast day of St. Francis Xavier, a great missionary in india. Presently we have 4 missions

  • Canossian Samajik vikas Kendra, Nandigam, Gujarat - 2003

  • Asha Ankur Ashram, Vasai, Maharashtra -2008

  • Jeevan Dhara Canossian Ashram, Perumpunna, kannur district, Kerala - 2019

The Canossian Sons of charity in india, have been actively involved in the fields of formation of Seminarians, education of poor, vulnerable children, social development, youth formation, vocational training, and community empowerment.

Through the ministries, we strive to create opportunities for vulnerable individuals and communities to achieve self-reliance, social inclusion, and sustainable livelihoods.
