Commission Meetings
Various Provincial Commission meetings were successfully conducted at Andheri to review ministries, foster collaboration, and plan future initiatives.
A two-day Province-level JPIC Meeting was held on 4–5 July 2026 in Andheri, bringing together JPIC activists from various communities across the Province. The gathering began with a prayer led by Sr. Shalini D’Souza, followed by a welcome note by Sr. Gracy Rodrigues.
The first session, animated by our Provincial, Sr. Audrey D’Souza, on the theme “New Wine in New Wineskins: Courage to Discern, Courage to Serve,” inspired and challenged the sisters to embrace a renewed mindset, discern the signs of the times, and courageously respond to the needs of today’s world.
Ms. Sumedha from the RUR Organisation conducted a practical session on composting wet waste, while Sr. Meena Godad presented the Canossian JPIC Basic Guidelines. The sharing of community initiatives enriched the gathering.
On the second day, the sisters engaged in spiritual conversations and prepared their JPIC action plans for 2026–2027. The meeting concluded with the presentation of action plans, evaluation, and a vote of thanks. The Sisters expressed gratitude to the Provincial and her Council for this enriching experience and renewed their commitment to making JPIC a way of life through concrete actions for justice, peace, and care for our common home.
