Orientation and Meeting of Sisters in the Ministry of Education*
We, the sisters involved in the Ministry of Education, gathered on 25th and 26th June 2026 for a two-day Orientation and Meeting centred on the theme " Moving Towards Newness and Transformation ." The programme was enriching and inspiring, helping us reflect on our mission as educators and prepare for the new academic year.
Fr. Frazer, SJ, helped us understand the present educational scenario in contemporary society, the impact of the political climate on education, and the challenges faced by educators today. He encouraged us to remain committed to our mission with wisdom, hope, and conviction.
Sr. Audrey then inspired us to be open to change and become " new wineskins for new wine." She invited us to embrace new ways of thinking and responding to the changing needs of education with faith, courage, and openness.
Ms. Mimansa Popat representative from Prafulta conducted a meaningful session on inclusive education. She introduced us to different types of disabilities and shared practical ways to create a welcoming and supportive learning environment where every child feels valued and included.
Sr. Catherine Gonsalves conducted the business session with her knowledgeable inputs.
Together, we also reflected on our educational ministry and prepared an action plan for the academic year, renewing our commitment to providing quality education rooted in the Canossian charism.
The two days concluded with hearts filled with gratitude and renewed enthusiasm. We thank God for His abundant blessings and our Provincial Team for organizing this enriching orientation and giving us the opportunity to grow together as we continue our educational mission with renewed commitment, embracing newness and transformation.
